Společnost VMware oznámila hospodářské výsledky za 3. čtvrtletí roku 2016

Palo Alto/Praha, 1. listopadu 2016 – Společnost VMware, Inc. (NYSE: VMW), vedoucí firma v oblasti cloudové infrastruktury a firemní mobility, zveřejnila své finanční výsledky za třetí čtvrtletí roku 2016: (TZ)

  • Příjmy za třetí čtvrtletí dosáhly výše 1,78 miliardy dolarů.  Oproti stejnému období v roce 2015 vzrostly o 6 %.
  • Příjmy z licencí ve druhém čtvrtletí činily 691 milionů dolarů, oproti stejnému období roku 2015 vzrostly o 1 %.
  • Čistý zisk za třetí čtvrtletí dosáhl výše 319 milionů dolarů, tedy 0,75 dolaru na akcii, a oproti stejnému období v roce 2015, kdy čistý zisk byl 256 milionů dolarů a 0,60 dolaru na akcii, vzrostl o 25 %. Bez přihlédnutí k metodice GAAP činil čistý zisk 485 milionů dolarů a 1,14 dolaru na akcii a ve srovnání se třetím čtvrtletím roku 2015, kdy dosáhl celkově 433 milionů dolarů a 1,02 dolaru na akcii, vzrostl o 12 %.
  • Provozní zisk za třetí čtvrtletí 2016 činil 381 milionů dolarů, a meziročně tak vzrostl o 17 %. Provozní zisk bez přihlédnutí k metodice GAAP byl ve druhém čtvrtletí 592 milionů dolarů a oproti stejnému období předchozího roku vzrostl o 12 %.
  • Provozní peněžní tok ve třetím čtvrtletí 2016 dosáhl výše 620 milionů dolarů. Volný peněžní tok ve druhém čtvrtletí činil 590 milionů dolarů.
  • K 30. září 2016 disponovala společnost finanční hotovostí, hotovostními ekvivalenty a krátkodobými investicemi ve výši 8,25 miliardy dolarů a odloženými výnosy v celkové hodnotě 5,09 miliardy dolarů.

  • Total revenue plus sequential change in total unearned revenue grew 13% year-over-year.
  • License revenue plus sequential change in unearned license revenue grew 9% year-over-year.

Today VMware announced the formation of a new Products and Cloud Services organization focused on extending VMware’s leadership across compute, storage, networking, management and business mobility. Raghu Raghuram and Rajiv Ramaswami will co-lead this new organization and take on expanded roles as Chief Operating Officers, Products and Cloud Services. Sanjay Poonen is also taking on an expanded role as Chief Operating Officer, Customer Operations responsible for Worldwide Sales and Services, Channels, Marketing, and Global Communications. With these changes, Sumit Dhawan has been promoted to General Manager and Senior Vice President, End-User Computing, replacing Poonen in that role and Jeff Jennings has been promoted to Vice President and General Manager of the Networking and Security BU as Ramaswami moves into his COO role.

The company also announced a transition to the Dell fiscal year beginning on February 4, 2017. The first quarter for fiscal 2018 will begin on February 4 and end on May 5, 2017.

  • At VMworld 2016, VMware recently hosted over 30,000 customers, partners and influencers in Las Vegas and Barcelona and introduced a wave of new products and services designed to help customers accelerate their digital transformation:

    • New services for the Photon Platform™ will offer an end-to-end enterprise cloud-native infrastructure platform for running modern, containerized applications in production with end-to-end support provided by VMware.
    • VMware announced a new endpoint management approach for managing Windows 10, along with advancements to VMware Horizon® and VMware Workspace ONE™. These innovations will help advance the digital workspace and solve the challenge of supporting an increasingly mobile workforce that demands anytime, anywhere access to all applications from any device.
  • Two weeks ago, VMware, the leader in private cloud, and Amazon Web Services, the leader in public cloud, announced a partnership, to provide a new VMware vSphere-based cloud service running on AWS. VMware Cloud™ on AWS will make it easier to run any application, using a common set of familiar software and tools, in a consistent hybrid cloud environment. This new service will be the primary public cloud solution delivered, sold and supported by VMware.
  • At AirWatch Connect™, VMware announced additions its enterprise mobility management portfolio:
    • To help businesses of any size deliver apps, configure email, Wi-Fi, and get devices up and running quickly, VMware launched AirWatch Express™.
    • VMware will add the industry’s first unified solution for smart glasses management for augmented and mixed reality experiences to its AirWatch portfolio.
    • Symantec selected VMware AirWatch to build enhanced endpoint security integrations
  • For the seventh consecutive year, VMware was positioned in the Leaders Quadrant of Gartner, 2016 Magic Quadrant for x86 Server Virtualization Infrastructure.
  • Earlier this week, VMware released its Global Impact Report for 2015.
