SANTA CLARA, Kalifornie, a MNICHOV, 2. února – Společnost Intel podepsala definitivní smlouvu o akvizici společnosti Lantiq, předního dodavatele technologií širokopásmového přístupu a technologií domácích sítí. Transakce nyní podléhá schválení ze strany regulačních úřadů a měla by být dokončena zhruba do devadesáti dnů. Detaily smlouvy nebyly zveřejněny. (TZ)
Inteligentní gatewaye a sítě s inteligentním přístupem jsou důležitým prvkem ve snahách Intelu dosáhnout co největší konektivity a maximálně inteligentních zařízení. Akvizice posílí úspěchy Intelu na trhu s domácími gatewayi a rozšíří nabídku společnosti pro další segmenty včetně DSL, optických vláken, LTE, retailu a inteligentních routerů pro internet věcí.
